Trewirgie Infants' School Council

Our School Council is made up of Class Representatives from the Year 1 and Year 2 classes. Each Year 1 and 2 class has two members (a boy and a girl) who have been voted in by their class peers.

We have at least two meetings each half term. We take it in turns to be Chairperson and Secretary as we thought it was fair to all have a go! Miss Huddleston and Mrs Parrott are always there to help us chair and minute our meetings, when we need it!

The School Council work effectively with the whole school community and beyond. They meet with the Mayor and share their views with the town council.

As a Rights-Respecting School we care about the rights of all children in the world. We maintain contact and raise money to support an orphanage in Burma. We support charities closer to home holding regular events to raise money.
