Speech and Language is run by Mrs Rutter & Mrs Theobald. Sessions are held two days a week. Speech and Language is mainly made up of three different areas:
These groups are held to help promote careful active listening. Activities are used to help children grasp the key information in games, stories and instructions, and to encourage the use of descriptive language to develop the children's ability to give clear explanation.
This is a forty week programme which aims to help children improve their skills in listening, looking, turn taking, conversation and awareness of others. It also aims to make the children aware of their environment
We work with children individually, as identified by the Speech Therapist, to give extra help and support in specific areas of speech.
